find what really interests you.

Here’s Amy’s suggestion…

I remember graduating and my roommate, who was a nursing major, and I were talking about finding a job. We were both nervous about where we would look or end up. But I remember saying to her, you’re a nurse – you will go work at a hospital. You may not know which one, or which department, but you will look for hospitals.  I was a business/marketing major. That means I can work in a number of industries, in a number of different roles and I didn’t know where to start.  My advice to those graduating, is to really think about the industry you want to work in.  What really interests you. Because you spend a lot of time at work, you want to enjoy it.  Whether it’s B2C or B2B; technology or retail, healthcare or automotive.  Select a couple different areas, because one sector may not be hiring as much at the time.
